Kohanna is a 22-year-old, American artist blending indie-folk, americana, and soul into music that’s equal parts storytelling, groove, and big-voice emotion. Rooted in honest writing and warm instrumentation, her sound feels both timeless and modern - built for intimate rooms, listening spaces, and full-band stages.

Originally raised between Virginia and Baltimore, Kohanna has been performing since age 14, beginning with her first show at the historic Cat’s Eye Pub in Baltimore’s Fells Point neighborhood. Since then, she has played venues across the U.S. - from hometown venues like NOVA Live to full-band performances at The Fox Theatre in Boulder.

In 2025, Kohanna opened for touring acts including Steph Strings (1M+ social following) and Tommy Newport (22K+ social following), and has performed for crowds of 350+. Her live set is high-energy and dynamic, supported by a tight, lively band and built around audience connection - blending emotional originals with memorable moments that keep the room engaged.

Her discography includes the full-length album Hometown (2021), the EP For the Wildflowers (2020), and a growing catalog of singles including “Sweet Wine” (2023), “Dancing With June” (2022), “Moonlight” (2021), 2025 releases “What I Would Give,” “I Always Knew,” “Miss America,” “Jane,” and her latest, 2026, single, “Comatose.” Her work has been featured on Denver9News, Kinda Vague Radio 92.9 FM, and praised by A&R Factory for her “illuminatingly genuine” voice.

After studying songwriting in Nashville and earning a marketing degree to build fluency in the business side of artistry, Kohanna relocated to Austin, Texas in 2025 to pursue music full-time. She is currently releasing her next albums while expanding her touring footprint across Texas and beyond.

All released music is self-written (unless specifically noted as a collaboration), and Kohanna is a multi-instrumentalist performing on guitar, piano, ukulele, and vocals.
