Colorado: Side B
The second half of the Colorado project.
a letter, october 2026
Hi, it’s Kohanna.
It’s strange to finally be able to share the whole thing. These songs have been part of my life for so long, and now both halves of Colorado are here together. Closing a chapter. Closure to the end of an era.
We started recording this project in June of 2025. I went to Boston and recorded “I Always Knew” over my 22nd birthday. Then came five weeks in Virginia. Side A came out in February of 2026. Side B is the second half: the tracks that finish what we started.
A lot has happened since Side A. A lot has changed. Listening back feels a little like reading old diary entries. I remember what was happening, who was there, and what I was trying to understand when I wrote each song. Some of those things, I’m still figuring out:)
There are pieces of so many people in these albums. Friends who played on them. People who inspired them.
I hope you’ll listen to Side A and Side B back to back. Start with the intro. Stay through the outro.
With love, Kohanna

a little about track 2
I Feel It.
My good friend Johnny once asked what the whole point was of us making music. I guess my answer was that I wanted to feel alive. And I wanted everyone in the audience, every listener, and everyone onstage to feel alive, too. To feel joy, heartache, love, loss, hope, everything that makes up that word, "alive"
“I Feel It” holds so much of what I wanted this project to be. I Feel It speaks to buying into this crazy thing we call "Life"
and the very last song
Intro → Outro
At the very end of the album, you’ll hear “Outro,” the final piece of the album, recorded here in Austin, Texas, with Jake Kennedy.
Where We Going? Tour / Colorado, October 2026
Colorado, thank you for having us.
Getting to close this chapter with a tour through the place this project is named after meant so much to me. To everyone who came to a show, brought a friend, bought a shirt, gave us somewhere to stay, or helped us get there: thank you. We could not have done this without you. A special thank you to those who purchased "Kohanna Band Tees" online: thanks to you we raised $1,018 to put on this tour and bring our music out to the very place that inspired these albums. I cannot express my gratitude enough.
somewhere along the way
i get by with a little help from my friends...
It takes a village.
Friends from Virginia, Colorado, Austin, and everywhere in between. Old friends, new friends, and musicians I’ve looked up to. Thank you for your time, your ideas, and for caring about these songs. I’m so grateful we got to make this together.
